The Cat Distribution System works in many mysterious ways that defy feline behavioral guidelines, but the story that we have today strays further from the guides of the feline handbook than we have ever seen. Showing a whole new side ot cats we had assumed did not exist.

Reddit's r/CATHELP subreddit is usually a place for pawrents to scream out their frustrations about raising a feline and seek help and advice to make the experience more manageable. After all, anyone who has been kept awake three nights in a row with kittens running zoomies over their face is going to be a little bit crabby. But the story we found today is quite the departure from the norm as it tells the tail of a tiny kitten who was gifted to a hooman by the kitten's father. An absolute rarity in the cat community as cat dads hardly ever find themselves in the picture when their litter is born. Let alone taking responsibility for finding the runt of the litter a suitable home to live in.

But that is exactly what this outstanding feline father did, stepping up to take on a task that most hoomans shy away from. But he knew he had to do right by his son and ensure that despite his smaller stature and strength, that he would live a life of laughter and love. Which is exactly what this kitten got when he was added to our rescuer's fur family, gaining two canine siblings and a robot floor cleaner to play with. But perhaps the most heartwarming part of this story is the fact that even though his dad gave him up, he still stopped by every single day to check on his long lost son.

  • Wow, well this is certainly not the usual kind of kitten encounter that we have become accustomed to, it is far more impressive. Cats, like many mammals with large litters often leave their runts to fend for themselves or expire. It is the natural way of the world. So for a father cat of all creatures to take pity upon the runt and instead of casting it out of the family, giving it to someone who could love it and care for it is simply unreal. It shows such a deep understanding of empathy and in general an understanding of the world around him.

  • There truly is no sweeter success story than the tiny kitten that could. To see such a tiny, vulnerable creature rise up from the ashes as it were, riding on the wings of love, is so heartwarming. We can only imagine the delightful moments that this fur family have gotten to revel in as their new fur baby learns the ropes of life and gets accustomed to his furever home. Not to mention how sweet it is that his father, who has no obligation to him according to cat rules, still comes to visit him every day. It’s enough to bring a tear or two to your eyes.
